Position Overview:
This role is pivotal in delivering engineering expertise for water and wastewater utility initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop design calculations, technical documentation, permitting, and engineering schematics along with specifications for water and wastewater infrastructure, including distribution and collection networks, lift stations, and treatment facilities.
  • Conduct analysis and design of water distribution networks, incorporating demand forecasts and extended duration simulations.
  • Evaluate and design wastewater collection systems, focusing on demand forecasting and lift station configurations.
  • Draft proposals, define scopes of work, and prepare contract cost assessments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience overseeing significant water and wastewater projects from inception to completion.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing clients within municipal utility districts.
  • Comprehensive understanding of design and construction methodologies for waterlines, storage facilities, pump stations, wastewater pipelines, lift stations, and forcemains.
  • Familiarity with the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven track record of fostering and maintaining professional relationships with clients, municipal utility districts, public agency representatives, and community leaders.
  • Active participation in professional organizations and community groups.
  • Availability to work standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
