Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Local Service Lead to drive and grow our water resources engineering practice in Austin, Texas. This leadership role involves strategic planning, team development, innovation, and collaboration to enhance our market presence and technical excellence.

Your Impact:

  • Strategic Leadership: Implement strategic plans and service initiatives that align with Westwood's vision and market goals.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of mentoring and empowerment, nurturing the growth of our service staff and ensuring our teams are poised for success.
  • Innovation and Excellence: Elevate our technical capabilities with your expertise, leading the charge in adopting innovative solutions and setting new standards in water resources engineering.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Division Service Leads, Regional Service Leaders, and local market leaders to develop business strategies, advance service initiatives, and drive Westwood's market share.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to develop and enact a comprehensive strategic plan, focusing on short- and long-term growth.
  • Lead service-specific proposal efforts, providing technical expertise and driving innovation in our project approaches.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging this insight to enhance our service offerings and project delivery methods.
  • Implement and uphold high standards for our work products, from design standards to project reports, ensuring quality and consistency across the board.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a deep understanding of the water resources consulting business.
  • Proven track record in operations, business development, and technical project management within the water resources or related sectors.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in design, management, and business development, with a willingness to travel as needed to project sites and other Westwood offices nationwide.
