Position Overview

We conceptualize homes as products, fabricating them in our facilities and transporting components to different locations for final assembly. Our field operations extend the efficiency of our factory assembly line, presenting unique opportunities for the development of remote assembly techniques. As we broaden our operational scope, Veev's field construction division is in search of a qualified Project Engineer to assist with on-site projects. The Project Engineer will be tasked with documenting issues, managing RFIs, facilitating resolutions, supporting field teams as challenges arise, and reviewing and approving plans and specifications, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and track the status of submittals, RFIs, design modifications, and issues.
  • Review, approve, and disseminate plans to field teams.
  • Assist superintendents during execution and problem-solving.
  • Coordinate shop drawings and submittals.
  • Monitor and document job-site safety and accident prevention measures.
  • Coordinate MEP systems and resolve related issues.
  • Participate in and document project coordination meetings.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractor field installations.
  • Research and propose options regarding construction methods and equipment.
  • Review, create, and maintain As-Built plans.
  • Ensure quality control and facilitate project closeouts.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and distribute them accordingly.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer.
  • 3-5 years of construction experience is essential.
  • Valid California Driver's License is necessary.
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, BIM360, Bluebeam, Raken, and AutoCad.
  • Skilled in Primavera Scheduling, Claim Digger, and Microsoft Software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Presentation tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, particularly in identifying data quality issues.
  • Results-driven with the capability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using professional judgment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
