About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Social Worker to join our Foster Care team at Northern Rivers Family of Services. As a Foster Care Clinician, you will provide critical clinical services to children in foster care and support foster families, and families within the foster care system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for children in foster care, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Counseling and Therapy: Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and families, promoting healthy relationships and coping mechanisms.
  • Risk Assessment and Consultation: Conduct specialized risk assessments and consult with other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care.
  • Case Management: Attend case-related meetings, including counseling on special education, termination of parental rights, and emergency meetings, to ensure seamless coordination of care.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, progress notes, and family service plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Education
