About the Opportunity

Our federal client is embarking on a critical initiative to cease using aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) and transition to fluorine-free firefighting (F3) products. As the AFFF Fire and Emergency Services (FES) Specialist on our team, you will play a key role in supporting this transition by providing policy and program oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the federal client in implementing and overseeing the transition from AFFF to F3 products
  • Support the development and implementation of AFFF transition policies and guidance
  • Research and monitor F3-related research, demonstration, and validation projects
  • Coordinate the disposal of AFFF and implement policy for training requirements on F3 products
  • Prepare briefings, presentations, and decision memoranda for senior management
  • Track and monitor progress on multiple, complex projects related to F3 resources and AFFF transition
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience with fire and emergency response, or Master's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of fire protection and FES, including policies, guidance, and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings, brief senior leadership, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with the application of firefighting foams in real-world emergency response
  • Experience with FES administration, studies, and analyses of new and emerging emergency response issues
  • Knowledge of leadership in interagency and interdisciplinary emergency response
