Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Shift Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production department employees, providing training, motivation, and disciplinary actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise production department employees, providing training, motivation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Recommend enhancements to procedures, systems, and equipment to optimize efficiency, ensure quality, and reduce costs.
  • Initiate maintenance work orders for machinery, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Administer company regulations and policies while ensuring safety compliance.
  • Evaluate and set performance goals for employees to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and oversee safe handling of toxic materials.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to meet customer deadlines.
  • Inspect products for quality compliance and oversee repairs as necessary.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance production quality and efficiency.
  • Resolve work-related issues and provide guidance to employees.
  • Conduct training sessions, evaluations, and feedback sessions for new hires.
  • Assist in creating and updating training materials and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and opportunities.
  • Address customer queries or issues regarding product quality.
  • Perform equipment certifications and support plant operations as needed.
  • Undertake responsibilities of a Machine Operator based on operational requirements.
  • Complete any other assigned duties.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience

Education: Associate's degree or equivalent, or 5-8 years of related experience, or a comparable combination of education and practical training.

Competencies: Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and safety skills.

Technology: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full-time role for the 3rd shift from 11 PM to 7 AM, occasional weekend work may be necessary.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required.

Work Environment: Professional office setting with exposure to standard office equipment and occasional mechanical elements.

Physical Requirements: The role entails sitting, standing, walking, lifting weights up to 50 pounds, and engaging in various physical movements.
