Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the execution of department operations, including in-plant operations, to ensure that all activities are performed safely and according to company procedures and standards.
  • Assume general responsibility for safety and housekeeping of all operations.
  • Organize, control, and ensure the full implementation and adherence of safety, working, and site standards by all members on your team.
  • Responsible for overall safety, quality, and productivity in department operations.
  • Manage a team of Supervisors, Leads, Yard Mule Drivers, Forklift Operators, and Quality Control Personnel and direct them to execute operations safely and properly, complete with well-defined goals and deadlines.
  • Guarantee that all activities are performed safely and according to company procedures and standards.
  • Communicate and follow up to ensure team members are fully aware of all information related to safety, products, procedures, customer needs, and company-related issues, changes, or actions.
  • Communicate with other department operations managers to ensure overall site performance is not impacted by individual departments.
  • Manage and coordinate all activities within the storage yard to work together seamlessly and efficiently with other departments.
  • Assist in Human Resource aspects of the day-to-day operation, define disciplinary actions, and maintain positive control on overtime (OT) to ensure it does not exceed OT targets.
  • Assist in recruiting, evaluation, training, and development of personnel.
  • Oversee safety and quality of loading product containers from the storage yard and transportation to the container yard.
  • Responsible for reviewing and, if necessary, identifying additional reporting to better manage the outbound process and standards.
  • Promote and monitor quality service amongst all staff members through trainings, certifications, and by contributing recommendations and following company policies.
  • Ensure daily evaluations on product quality and oversee that they meet customer standards and deadlines.
  • Clarify job priorities and identify/eliminate obstacles.
  • Oversee and assist other departments to maintain product quality discrepancies per customer standards.
  • Control timeliness and precision of the works in general.
  • Ensure issue of incident reports, and make sure they are reported in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and report operational performance daily.
  • Participate in daily operation meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a supervisor/management role in storage and/or logistics.
  • Basic knowledge of the petrochemical industry.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
  • Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferred).
  • Computer literate, especially in MS-Office Suites.
  • Experience with a transport management software (preferred).
  • Experience with SAP, GEMS, and Xflow (preferred).
