Job Summary:

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report changes in status as appropriate.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.

Requirements:

  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Required within one year from the date of graduation from a cardiac ultrasound program.
  • 1 or more year of previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Solid computer skills, including prior use of EMR (electronic medical records).
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
