About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our Cardiopulmonary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate and coordinated procedures in the Echocardiography Department, including Echocardiograms, vascular work, transesophageal echo, pacemaker analysis, and exercise echo.
  • Conduct two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings for the diagnosis of cardiac disease.
  • Develop a working knowledge of stress testing and its application in the Echocardiography department, including exercise stress and pharmacological stress.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement (PI) activities.
  • Assist with stress testing and other non-invasive cardio diagnostic testing.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification.
