Position Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is in search of a dedicated and empathetic Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist to become part of our esteemed team as a full-time faculty member, either on a tenure or non-tenure track, based on qualifications. Our MFM clinical team comprises 8 clinical faculty members, 3 fellows, 5 certified nurse midwives, 4 advanced practice providers, 12 ultrasound technicians, 2 perinatal nurse navigators, and 1 genetic counselor.

Key Responsibilities:

As a perinatologist, the selected candidate will be instrumental in fulfilling the division's objectives in patient care, education, and research. Responsibilities will include:
  • Providing perinatal clinical care in various settings, including ambulatory offices and inpatient units.
  • Participating in the Fetal Care Program, which involves collaborative multi-specialty care for fetal conditions.
  • Engaging in condition-specific programs such as Cardio-Obstetrics, Preterm Birth Prevention, Diabetes in Pregnancy, and Invasive Placenta programs.
  • Conducting perinatal consultations and overseeing complex pregnancy care.
  • Performing both invasive and non-invasive fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Educational Contributions:

The MFM faculty will also play a vital role in the education and mentorship of residents and MFM fellows, imparting essential skills in maternal-fetal medicine, including surgical and ultrasound techniques to enhance pregnancy outcomes. Additionally, the faculty will provide instruction for medical students during their ObGyn clerkship and MFM elective.

The division performs over 13,000 ultrasound examinations each year, combining high-quality patient care with a robust commitment to training future physicians and advancing medical research.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and educational background.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Medical Degree or equivalent, hold an active or eligible medical license, and be board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Completion of an accredited fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine is required.
