Your Role:

Our division is dedicated to supporting governmental initiatives aimed at ensuring operational readiness through energy resilience. This readiness encompasses not only the personnel involved in supporting essential platforms but also the vehicles that facilitate force deployment. Transitioning from traditional fossil fuel vehicles to hybrid and electric alternatives is crucial for achieving governmental objectives. The engineer we seek will focus on identifying energy resilience deficiencies and proposing projects that fulfill mission requirements across various energy sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments of energy vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to existing systems.
  • Engage with military installations to evaluate and address energy and climate resilience challenges.
  • Explore the integration of renewable energy sources into current systems.
  • Provide insights into electrical, mechanical, water, fuel, and communication systems to ensure compliance with mission standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering applications.
  • Proficiency in power systems design and engineering methodologies.
  • Familiarity with energy infrastructure, including electrical transmission and distribution, microgrids, and renewable technologies such as solar and wind.
  • Experience in developing and analyzing requirements for complex energy systems.
  • Capability to offer constructive engineering recommendations for system optimization and support.
  • Willingness to travel between 25-50% of the time.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in evaluating the condition of energy infrastructure.
  • Background in designing, constructing, or maintaining electrical equipment.
  • Prior experience working with governmental agencies.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as NFPA 70 and IEEE.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • EIT Certification is a plus.

Clearance Requirements:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information.
