Position Overview

The Production Scheduler is responsible for the meticulous creation and management of the production timetable, ensuring that sales order fulfillment is achieved through effective collaboration with various departments to guarantee timely customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the production schedule to establish machine and assembly sequences, ensuring commitments to delivery dates are met based on customer expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with Schedulers and Buyers to assess inventory levels that support confirmed sales orders and customer delivery timelines, proactively addressing potential production risks.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels of both purchased and manufactured components to meet customer delivery commitments promptly.
  • Track lead times and manage variations that could adversely affect customer satisfaction and the achievement of monthly production goals.
  • Execute SAP operations, including managing production orders, printing necessary documentation, and overseeing inventory adjustments.
  • Engage with Buyers to formulate plans that safeguard customer delivery commitments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of inspection records prior to the closure of work orders.
  • Coordinate with other business units to meet customer delivery needs and support requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and devise effective solutions.
  • Exhibit excellence in completing all other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting Bills of Materials and engineering documents.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Access.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to perform repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Regular use of hands and wrists.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

The work environment is situated on the manufacturing floor, where temperature variations are common.

Essential Competencies

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing context.
  • Understanding of MRP and MRS systems.
  • Familiarity with Multi-BOM structures.
  • At least 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to source and analyze data from multiple channels.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and possessing a positive attitude.
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
