We are seeking a skilled and motivated Capital Projects Engineer to play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of essential infrastructure initiatives that support the expansion of our advanced rocket propulsion facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Project Planning and Management:** Collaborate with program managers and leadership to formulate capital project strategies concerning facility growth, equipment setup, and infrastructure enhancements. Develop comprehensive schedules and cost estimates that align with project timelines and financial plans.

2. **Construction Oversight:** Provide on-site supervision and management during the construction phase. Track progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

3. **Design and Engineering:** Work alongside internal teams and external collaborators to create engineering designs, specifications, and layouts for new construction and renovation projects. Confirm that designs comply with regulatory standards, industry benchmarks, and organizational goals.

4. **Procurement and Vendor Management:** Oversee procurement processes in collaboration with Ursa Supply Chain, including sourcing materials, equipment, and services from suppliers and contractors. Assess bids, negotiate agreements, and monitor vendor performance to guarantee quality and cost efficiency.

5. **Budget Control:** Track project spending, monitor variances, and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure compliance with budgetary limits. Collaborate closely with program managers and leadership to provide insights on budget forecasts and potential risks.

6. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, zoning laws, environmental permits, and other legal requirements governing construction and facility operations.

7. **Stakeholder Communication:** Maintain clear and open communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and senior management. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and potential risks.

8. **Quality Assurance/Quality Control:** Establish stringent quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure that construction activities meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 3-5 years of experience in capital project management, ideally within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or General Contracting License is advantageous.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.

- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail, with the aptitude to resolve complex issues and make informed decisions based on data.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

- Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards, building codes, and industry best practices.

- Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.

Colorado law mandates disclosure of the base compensation range for this position, which is $85,000 - $135,000, based on your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
