We are seeking a skilled and motivated Capital Projects Engineer to play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of vital infrastructure initiatives that support the growth and enhancement of our advanced rocket propulsion facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Project Planning and Management:** Collaborate with program managers and leadership to formulate capital project strategies concerning facility expansion, equipment installation, and infrastructure improvements. Develop comprehensive schedules and cost estimates that align with project timelines and financial plans.

2. **Construction Oversight:** Provide on-site supervision and management during the construction phase. Track progress, address challenges, and ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

3. **Design and Engineering:** Work with internal teams and external collaborators to create engineering designs, specifications, and layouts for new construction and renovation projects. Confirm that designs comply with regulatory standards, industry benchmarks, and company goals.

4. **Procurement and Vendor Management:** Oversee procurement processes in partnership with Ursa Supply Chain, including sourcing materials, equipment, and services from suppliers and contractors. Assess bids, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance to guarantee quality and cost-effectiveness.

5. **Budget Control:** Track project expenses, monitor variances, and implement corrective measures as needed to maintain budget compliance. Collaborate closely with program managers and leadership to provide insights on budget forecasts and potential risks.

6. **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure adherence to applicable building codes, zoning laws, environmental permits, and other legal requirements governing construction and facility operations.

7. **Stakeholder Communication:** Foster open and transparent communication with project stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, regulatory bodies, and senior management. Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks.

8. **Quality Assurance/Quality Control:** Establish stringent quality assurance and quality control protocols to ensure that construction activities meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

- 3-5 years of experience in capital project management, ideally within the aerospace or manufacturing sectors.

- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or General Contracting License is advantageous.

- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.

- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail, with a capacity for solving complex challenges and making data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

- Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry best practices.

- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

Colorado law mandates that we disclose the base compensation range for this position, which is $85,000 - $135,000, based on your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
