Position Overview
We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned Senior Financial Accountant to become part of our team within the healthcare sector. This CONTRACT TO HIRE role presents a distinctive chance to engage deeply with the financial dimensions of a rapidly evolving and innovative setting. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in financial reporting, general ledger management, GL journal entries, and advanced Excel capabilities. This position requires strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including the maintenance of the general ledger system.
3. Conduct complex financial analyses to identify trends, estimates, and significant changes, and produce narrative reports explaining findings.
4. Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting models to support strategic decision-making.
5. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
6. Collaborate with team members to enhance financial procedures, process flows, and management reporting.
7. Engage in corporate finance decisions and provide insightful information to the executive management team to assist in long-term and short-term decision-making.
8. Ensure compliance with all internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
3. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial planning software.
5. Strong understanding of financial reporting, General Ledger, GL journal entries, and financial analysis.
6. Proven experience in management accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and account reconciliation.
7. Solid understanding of corporate finance.
8. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to manage complex data.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
10. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
