Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain oversight of porters and matrons, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Assign tasks to workers based on job requirements or special assignments, utilizing their skills and expertise to maximize productivity.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure that all services meet Harvard's high standards and customer expectations.
  • Train new and existing staff on proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
  • Ensure that all staff have access to the necessary equipment and supplies to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage general equipment maintenance, including scheduling repairs and replacements as needed.
  • Oversee general cleaning operations, including scheduling and coordinating with staff to ensure that all areas are cleaned to the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the cleaning/janitorial field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
