Reports to:
IT Manager

University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors (UMEC) is a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction and facilities services. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be responsible for addressing user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and administer mobile devices, including both Apple and Android devices.
Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems and applications.
Documenting standards and procedures, maintaining inventory of technological devices, working with outside vendors.
Work off hours as required for project work.
Address user tickets regarding hardware, software, and networking issues.
Guide users with step-by-step instructions.
Conduct remote troubleshooting.

Requirements:
Associate degree and/or 2 years of experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role.
Demonstrated Windows computer skills/experience.
Microsoft Certifications preferred.

Computer Skills:
Must demonstrate Windows computer skills/experience.
Microsoft Certifications preferred.

Language Skills:
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors, and suppliers.
