We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Addiction Counselor 2 to join our multidisciplinary treatment team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, treatment planning, case management, and clinical services to patients with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and work with challenging patients.
  • Provide individual and group therapy, and facilitate various clinical activities.
  • Present lectures, videos, and psycho-educational groups.
  • Manage all facets of clinical services to patient caseload.
  • Intervene in crisis situations and utilize clinical skills to problem solve.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
  • Provide consultation to less senior staff.
  • Use a computer proficiently for patient documentation and other required communication.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State.
  • One-year post-CASAC professional counseling experience.
  • Eligibility for transfer.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.

  • A competitive salary range of $65,001 - $82,656.
  • Location Pay of $3,400.
