Position Summary

The Field Service Technician role is essential for ensuring our clients receive timely maintenance and emergency support for commercial ware washing, laundry, and housekeeping systems. This position encompasses the installation and upkeep of automated dispensing systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance for a designated customer portfolio.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
  • Assist with collections as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on commercial dishwashing machines and chemical dispensers.
  • Install commercial dishwashing equipment and chemical dispensing systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency service requests.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Educate end-users on chemical systems and equipment.
  • Utilize hand and power tools regularly.
  • Drive safely to various customer locations.
  • Execute minor plumbing repairs.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in ware washing, laundry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC fields.
  • Experience in the commercial chemical sector, particularly with dishwashing and laundry systems, is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Flexible availability for on-call duties during evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proficient with technology, including smartphones and new software.
  • Fluency in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent kneeling, standing, twisting, and bending.
  • Regular use of hand and power tools.
  • Capability to work with electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read schematics and adhere to safety protocols.

Travel Requirements

This role necessitates daily travel using a company vehicle, which includes provisions for gas and maintenance for business purposes.
