Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to serve as the Coordinator of Youth Ministry for the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program that fosters the spiritual growth and development of youth in grades 7-12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development
    • Design and implement a youth ministry program that aligns with the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth.
    • Develop and implement a catechetical framework that incorporates the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
  • Youth Engagement
    • Provide opportunities for youth to develop and practice their faith through various activities and events.
    • Engage with youth in grades 7-12 to understand their needs and interests and develop programs that meet those needs.
  • Leadership Development
    • Recruit, train, and support adult leaders to serve as small group leaders, discipleship group leaders, and other roles within the youth ministry program.
    • Develop a process for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the youth ministry program.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with other departments within the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to youth ministry.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, youth, and adult leaders to keep them informed about program developments and opportunities.
  • Event Planning and Management
    • Plan and execute events and activities that promote the spiritual growth and development of youth.
    • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective execution of events and activities.
  • Reporting and Evaluation
    • Provide regular reports to the Pastor and other stakeholders on the progress and effectiveness of the youth ministry program.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the youth ministry program and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in education, catechesis, or theology, or a related field.
    • At least 1-3 years of experience in youth ministry or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of Catholic doctrine, sacraments, and liturgies.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with youth, adults, and parents.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Language
    • English (required)
    • Spanish (desired)
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule
    • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
    • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Travel
    • Occasional travel to conferences, training events, and other activities.
