Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA.
This is a part-time position, working 24 hours per week, with a shift of 8 hours, days. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field and be bilingual (Spanish/English). BLS certification is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and/or child patients, planning and implementing milieu treatment under the supervision of the Charge Nurse.
- Collaborate with the nurse therapist to determine a milieu treatment approach and participate in milieu therapy for patients on an individual or group basis.
- Assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate and implement various aspects of the milieu environment.
- Provide supportive care to patients, including participating in conversation, recreational activities, and basic living activities.
- Record all appropriate information on patient charts and prepare regular reports describing each patient's mental status and functioning.
