About the Role

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality care to adult patients. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on therapeutic goals and patient needs.
  • Provide milieu therapy, individual counseling, and group therapy sessions to promote patient engagement and progress.
  • Work closely with the nurse therapist to determine a milieu treatment approach and ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Participate in crisis intervention techniques and collaborate with other staff members to determine patient risk.
  • Document patient progress, interactions, and mental status in patient charts.
  • Provide education and support to family members and significant others regarding patient status and discharge planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
