Audit Associate Position

The Audit Associate is responsible for evaluating the audited activities within various business units and their supporting operations, particularly in capital markets, structured finance, and corporate investment banking. This role entails conducting independent assessments and analyses of specific controls to fulfill audit objectives, along with contributing to the preparation of debriefing presentations and comprehensive reports for management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute audit planning and fieldwork independently as assigned
  • Facilitate interviews, testing, and analysis of control outcomes
  • Identify and document strengths and weaknesses in the audited areas
  • Maintain ongoing communication with auditees throughout the audit process
  • Deliver audit findings and conclusions to management

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Preferred industry-recognized certification (CPA, CIA)

Experience Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in audit or a similar control function within a banking institution
  • Preferred in-depth knowledge of banking operations and products

Essential Competencies:

  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Capability to work independently under tight deadlines
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in English; basic knowledge of French is desirable

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with auditing techniques or knowledge of banking activities related to trading, operations, and corporate lending
  • Understanding of risks associated with banking and securities activities
  • Preferred knowledge of Capital Market strategies, products, processes, controls, and associated risks

Note: This position may require business travel for extended periods.
