Each role is vital to our success, emphasizing accountability, responsiveness, and a solutions-oriented approach. We are currently expanding and seeking a technical service professional to support our custom-manufactured machinery. This position reports to the Technical Service Manager and offers opportunities for growth. Our clientele spans Tier 1 and Tier 2 Automotive, Aerospace, and Medical Devices within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing setting.


Key Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional service to customers by troubleshooting, testing, installing, training, and maintaining high-precision mechanical systems. Support customer production processes effectively.


Specific Duties:

  • Repair machinery and products by scheduling service appointments, demonstrating equipment, presenting alternatives, and recommending solutions.
  • Install systems by procuring and delivering components, setting up equipment, programming systems, and conducting acceptance tests.
  • Test and validate new equipment prior to customer delivery.
  • Engage with customers to facilitate factory acceptance tests.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time globally.
  • Program and troubleshoot new machinery.
  • Assist in process development by applying machinery to meet customer applications.
  • Maintain systems and products by addressing issues, conducting tests, diagnosing problems, and completing repairs.
  • Document system configurations, upgrades, and repairs to maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure installation and testing equipment are operational by adhering to operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating repairs.
  • Enhance job knowledge through re-certification, educational opportunities, and professional literature.
  • Flexibility to cross-train between various sites as needed.

Skills and Qualifications: Strong customer service skills, ability to sell based on customer needs, technical proficiency, problem-solving capabilities, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, mechanical aptitude, basic electrical systems, motion control systems, and automation is essential. Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.


Requirements:

  • 1 – 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Experience with CNC or machine controls is preferred.
