Job Summary

As a Grant and Contract Specialist II, Post Award, you will provide critical support to researchers, departmental administrators, and center/institute administrators in the administration and processing of external and internal sponsored projects. Your expertise will ensure compliance with UTA policies and procedures, as well as sponsor regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review terms and conditions of new awards and set up projects in the grant tracking and financial system to ensure accurate notification and PI spending.
  • Monitor post-award activities to ensure compliance with issues involving allowable costs, re-budgeting, and reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate, review, and approve budget revisions and cost transfer requests in compliance with sponsoring agencies' regulations and university policies.
  • Process and submit prior approval requests to the sponsor, including No Cost Extensions, budget transfer requests, and requests for additional funds.
  • Serve as the primary resource for post-award grant questions, communicate with faculty and staff regarding post-award issues, and interpret rules, regulations, and compliance issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in the preparation and processing of research grant and/or contract proposals and in their administration, including one year of experience as Grant and Contract Specialist I or its equivalent.
