Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, and vascular exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality ultrasound exams on patients, maintaining sensitivity to patient needs and comfort.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities and serve as a role model for other associate technologists.
  • Act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, ensuring current standards of practice for the unit.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Correctly input charges and required data for procedures and supplies utilized during the exam.
  • Prepare patients for exams, providing information and instruction to patients and/or family members regarding the procedure and responding to their physical and emotional needs.
Requirements
  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • ARDMS - registered required RDMS(OB/GYN) or (AB) or (BR); or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RVT(VT) with OB or ABD required within 1 year or hire, or ARRT registered - R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT) or ARDMS registered RDCS(AE) or (PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required.
  • Physical Requirements: Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.
