Job Title: Computer Aided Design Drafter

Job Type: Contract

Duration: 3 Months + Extension

Location: On-Site

Job Summary:

nTech Workforce Inc. is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join their team and contribute to the mapping and document services department. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a vital role in the creation and maintenance of engineering drawings using CAD software, primarily GTech and Microstation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating detailed drawings, plans, and layouts based on specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Incorporating design changes and modifications into existing drawings.
  • Ensuring that drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Creating 2D and 3D models of structures, components, and systems.
  • Performing calculations and measurements to ensure accuracy of drawings.
  • Organizing and maintaining drawing files and documentation.
  • Communicating and coordinating with project team members to ensure timely completion of drawings.
  • Providing support during the construction or manufacturing process by clarifying drawings and providing additional information as needed.

Requirements:

  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent certification.
  • 4-5 years of Microstation experience.
  • 4-5 years of CAD experience.
  • Utility, gas/distribution experience.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings at a power facility or comparable facility.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using CAD software or other design software.
  • Knowledgeable, fast worker.
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electric Distribution background.
