Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Clinical Documentation Integrity Manager to join our team at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining clinical documentation integrity policies and procedures, as well as providing education and training to physicians, mid-level providers, and ancillary staff.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and clinical documentation integrity, with experience in developing and implementing audit plans, conducting concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records, and providing education and training to healthcare professionals. Additionally, they will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical documentation integrity policies and procedures
  • Provide education and training to physicians, mid-level providers, and ancillary staff
  • Oversee and develop the audit plan and schedule for the CDI department
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop quality metrics and targets representing CDI work performance and provider documentation performance
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required
  • 5 years RN or 3-5 coding quality audit experience strongly preferred
  • ICU and/or ED nursing experience preferred
Estimated Salary:

$90,000 - $125,000 per year
