About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our health information management department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement clinical documentation integrity audit plans
  • Conduct concurrent and retrospective reviews of medical records
  • Provide education and training to physicians, mid-level providers, and ancillary staff on clinical documentation best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop quality metrics and targets representing CDI work performance and provider documentation performance
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required
  • 5 years RN or 3-5 coding quality audit experience strongly preferred
  • ICU and/or ED nursing experience preferred
Estimated Salary:

$85,000 - $115,000 per year
