Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to oversee the operation of our dish room. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for supervising and participating in the cleaning of tableware, utensils, and equipment, as well as providing training and guidance to new employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and participate in the cleaning and maintenance of dish room equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure the removal of food residue from dishes, pots, and utensils, and supervise and participate in their hand washing or placement in a dishwasher.
  • Supervise and participate in the washing and scouring of pots, pans, and trays.
  • Supervise and participate in the segregation and removal of trash and garbage, and ensure that garbage cans are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Supervise and participate in the loading and unpacking of supplies and equipment, and ensure that adequate supplies are maintained at designated areas.
Requirements
  • At least one year of full-time experience in food service work, or equivalent part-time experience.
  • Certification as a food handler within six months of appointment start date.
  • Knowledge of food service operations, including sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, and to work varied shifts and irregular hours.
Working Conditions
  • Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and perform repetitive movements.
Additional Information
  • This position is designated as essential personnel.
  • Rotating days off, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
