Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to oversee the operation of our dish room. As a key member of our food service team, you will supervise and participate in the cleaning of tableware, utensils, and equipment, ensuring a high level of cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and participate in the cleaning and maintenance of dish room equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure the removal of food residue from dishes, pots, and utensils, and supervise the hand washing or placement on a conveyor or in a dishwasher.
  • Supervise and participate in the washing and scouring of pots, pans, and trays.
  • Segregate and remove trash and garbage, and ensure that garbage cans are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Load and unload supplies and equipment, and maintain a sufficient stock of utensils and dinnerware.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the dish room.
Requirements
  • At least one year of full-time experience in food service work, or equivalent part-time experience.
  • Certification as a food handler within six months of appointment start date.
  • Knowledge of food service operations, including safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff, and to work varied shifts and irregular hours.
Working Conditions
  • Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift and carry heavy objects, and perform repetitive movements.
Additional Information
  • This position is designated as essential personnel.
  • Rotating days off, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
