We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol assigned areas to maintain visitor control and investigate irregularities
  • Provide information and assistance to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Collaborate with the Campus Police & Public Safety department to promote a safe and secure environment

Requirements:

  • 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in police science or related field preferred
  • Certification by the NC Training and Standards Commission or basic law enforcement training within the last 12 months required

Working Conditions:

  • Varied shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Call requirements: none
