Guest Services Position Overview

The Guest Services Team Member plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to all visitors. This position requires a commitment to work during weekends and holidays as part of the regular schedule.

Key Responsibilities

This role encompasses a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Delivering outstanding service while fulfilling assigned responsibilities, including providing information throughout the facility.
  • Completing daily opening and closing procedures efficiently.
  • Ensuring the protection and security of all property assets.
  • Accurately processing all sales transactions in a timely manner.
  • Counting cash drawer amounts at the start and end of each shift.
  • Reporting all sales transactions accurately, including cash, coupons, credit card, and complimentary sales.
  • Assisting in the preparation of food and guest orders.
  • Addressing guest or associate concerns with tact and professionalism.
  • Supporting Park events as directed.
  • Monitoring guest entrance and exit at admission points and accurately recording hourly counts while guiding guests through turnstiles.
  • Processing season pass holders efficiently.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Supervision

This position reports to the Guest Service Lead and the Food Service/Catering Coordinator.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of fifteen (15) years.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Capability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Completion of required Cashier Standard Operating Procedures training and passing the associated test.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid food handler card as required.

Physical Requirements

Physical demands include:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to navigate stairs.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver items weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to bend, kneel, stoop, push, and pull.
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Employment Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Effective communication with diverse groups is essential. Compliance with child abuse reporting laws is required. Certification in Adult/Child CPR & First Aid is mandatory within 30 days of hire.
