About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Supervisor to join our team at Withum. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading multiple engagements, supervising staff, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of audits, reviews, and compilations
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of audit engagements, including staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, and financial reporting
  • Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and promote open communication with engagement managers and partners
  • Collaborate with managers and partners on client issue resolution and make recommendations for legal, regulatory, and accounting issues
  • Review general ledger accounts for accurate entries and manage multiple engagements concurrently
  • Create and track engagement budgets to identify inefficiencies
  • Conduct constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and provide counsel accordingly
  • Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or CPA eligible
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including familiarity with US GAAP
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
