As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the Accounting Supervisor to maintain day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Your responsibilities will include working well with operational management, providing timely communications, and offering a customer service orientation of financial services to all constituencies.

You will participate in the valuation and analysis of net patient revenue and of the monthly financial statement package. Additionally, you will identify and recommend functions for automation as appropriate, provide timely and accurate service to Department Directors, Administration, CFO, and other customers during the monthly close and budget process, and promote team playing within the work group.

Other responsibilities include managing and completing special projects as assigned from managers and controller in a timely and accurate fashion, preparing ad-hoc analyses and variance explanations as assigned and in support of the month end close process, supporting the Annual Operating Budget Process as assigned, and maintaining necessary schedules and documentation for monthly closings, quarterly reviews, and annual audit.

You will also review financial data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness, apply GAAP and HUP Financial Reporting Standards without exception, and provide assistance as necessary with special projects, operating budget, and financial audit.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree, 2+ years of General Accounting experience or related field, and a Certified Public Accountant certification.
