Job Title: Education Coordinator

Family Service Association is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Coordinator to join our team at Kids Academy in Fall River, MA. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for overseeing curriculum development, staff training and scheduling, and grant-funded initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement high-quality, inclusive, and comprehensive curriculum that meets standards from EEC, NAEYC, FSA, and QRIS.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
  • Mentor staff on classroom implementation and provide guidance on curriculum activities.
  • Work closely with the Program Director to identify external specialists, field trips, family involvement, and special events.
  • Provide coverage in the classroom and front desk as needed.
  • Supervise classroom compliance with Department of Early Education and Care Standards, FSA Policies, QRIS, PQR, and NAEYC accreditation standards.
  • Prepare ordering for ongoing classroom supplies and grant-funded materials.
  • Ensure staff ratios, planning time, lunch break, and sick/vacation coverage are met.
  • Compile accurate and timely program documentation for the Program Director.
  • Address behavior problems within the classroom and develop behavior management plans.
  • Manage and maintain necessary paperwork for Teaching Strategies Gold.
  • Assist the Program Director with EEC licensing and NAEYC accreditation.
  • Ensure scheduled curriculum activities are implemented as outlined.
  • Oversee the usage of electronics in the classroom.
  • Attend required meetings and professional development trainings.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, staff, and agency.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will meet all EEC requirements for a Lead Teacher and have preferred EEC requirements for a Director.
