Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team at Cary Medical Center. As a Perioperative Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures, working closely with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient operating room environment, including managing personnel, equipment, and supplies.
  • Act as a patient advocate, educator, and role model, promoting a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
  • Document all necessary information, including patient data, surgical procedures, and outcomes.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Current professional license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
