Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Pool Operations Manager. As a key member of our aquatic team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our pool patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight and direction to lifeguards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all pool users.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the pool area, including performing routine checks and assigning tasks to lifeguards.
  • Assist the Pool Manager with pool maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Inspect the pool and facility at opening and closing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide on-the-job training to new lifeguards and ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Complete all paperwork related to the position, including incident reports and safety protocols.
  • Check pool chemical levels and ensure they are within safe limits.
  • Assign lifeguard positions and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
  • Perform lifeguard duties, including enforcing pool rules and regulations, and performing emergency first aid and life-saving techniques as needed.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Preferred six (6) months prior experience as a lifeguard.
  • Must hold current American Red Cross certifications in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instructor, First Aid, CPR/Professional Rescuer, AED, and Administering Emergency Oxygen.
  • Ability to effectively convey information to pool patrons and develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of and ability to physically perform various rescue techniques and life-saving procedures.
Work Environment

This position requires extended periods of time in the pool and pool area, with exposure to temperature extremes, varying weather conditions, chemicals, water, and other conditions found in the pool area.

This position may require the incumbent to occasionally use personal equipment, such as a vehicle, cell phone, or tools, in the course of their employment.
