As an essential member of our organization, you will be instrumental in managing front-office operations crucial for optimizing the effectiveness of the medical practice, clinic, and/or department.
The responsibilities of the Healthcare Administrative Coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- How You Will Contribute to Healthcare Excellence:
- Welcome, assess, and assist patients and visitors.
- Handle correspondence, faxes, and various documents.
- Oversee a multi-line telephone system/switchboard.
- Coordinate scheduling, registration, and patient check-in/out processes.
- Maintain patient medical records.
- Conduct data management and spreadsheet operations.
- Generate and oversee reports.
- Execute charge entry tasks.
- Process billing documents and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and other self-pay amounts at the time of service.
- Manage cash box and receipt documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two years of experience in a medical office or physician practice (preferred)
- Familiarity with data processing and/or multi-line telephone systems (preferred)
- Experience with patient registration and/or medical insurance (preferred)
- Understanding of office protocols and equipment
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in automated computer systems
- Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
