Maintenance Technician II

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Services II to join our team at Arcadia Family of Companies. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing work orders, preventive maintenance, and inspection duties throughout our family of companies.

Responsibilities
  • Performs work orders, including duties such as minor and routine refurbishing projects, and work orders that require a higher level of skill in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
  • Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities.
  • Maintains equipment such as chiller, pumps, emergency generator, med-gas system, and diesel tank.
  • Notifies Environmental Services Manager/Maintenance Supervisor concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting and ventilation equipment.
  • Performs monthly inspections at various locations as assigned and prepares corresponding inspection reports.
  • Replaces air conditioner filters and light bulbs.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Performs first responder duties when situations arise.
  • Primary responder to radio calls.
  • Delivers messages, mail, parcels, packages, and medication.
  • Performs routine checklist of boiler/chiller and pumps.
  • Locks offices after hours.
  • Performs nightly resident apartment door tag placement.
  • Escorts staff to vehicles after dark as needed.
  • Relieves Security Officer and Receptionist during breaks.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current valid driver's license as needed to perform job duties.
  • Use of computers; ability to attain working knowledge of on-line maintenance work order system.
