Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Services Coordinator to join our team at Los Rios Community College District. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our college facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of cleaning and minor maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors, as well as cleaning windows, walls, and furniture.
  • Oversee temporary employees and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, and other specialized equipment.
  • Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards to management and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Participate in thorough cleaning and restoration of facilities during off-peak periods.
  • Lock and unlock doors, gates, and windows, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • One year of general work experience, including some experience in custodial work.
  • Equity-minded focus, responsiveness, and sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
