Job Overview

The Planned Giving Council of the Mid-South is seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Manager to join our team. This role will play a key part in developing comprehensive strategic plans for prospecting, marketing, and stewardship.

As an Estate Planning Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and researching prospective donors, developing cultivation and solicitation strategies, and working closely with gift officers to train them on planned giving.

This is a full-time position based in Coral Gables, and we are offering a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the development of comprehensive strategic prospecting, marketing, and stewardship plans.
  2. Identify and research prospective donors and develop cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  3. Work closely with gift officers to train them on planned giving and assist them in researching prospective donors.
  4. Develop and manage an active portfolio of prospects to cultivate and solicit planned gifts.
  5. Cultivate and solicit planned gifts from your own portfolio and in partnership with other gift officers.
  6. Coordinate and participate in one-on-one cultivation visits and gift solicitations.
  7. Implement stewardship strategies for planned gift and other donors.
  8. Draft documents such as gift agreements and gift annuity agreements.
  9. Assist in the development of programs and presentations to promote and explain planned giving.
  10. Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably in fundraising and planned giving.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles, including the ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
