Recovery Corps Job Description

Recovery Corps is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team of Recovery Navigators. As someone who has experienced the journey of recovery, you can help others build a healthy life through mentoring, peer support, and resource navigation.

About the Role

As a Recovery Navigator, you will play a crucial role in addressing the challenges of substance use and empowering individuals to build healthier lives. You will engage in professional development and comprehensive skills-based training to earn additional credentials and certificates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with clients to maintain their progress in recovery
  • Provide mentoring and peer support, leveraging your own recovery experience
  • Assist clients in navigating social service resources and programs
  • Participate in training and professional development throughout the year
  • Foster strong relationships with clients to help build their confidence and skills
  • Gain valuable professional experience while embedded in a local recovery organization
Requirements
  • In recovery for at least one uninterrupted year from a substance use disorder
  • Must not exceed the age of 29 by the start of your service date
  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to understand and follow instructions
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet searches, data entry, email communication, and videoconferencing
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
