As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping offenders with histories of chemical use, abuse, or addiction receive the treatment necessary for success on their road back to a healthy, productive life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning chemical dependency counseling programs and coordinate the delivery of counseling services to offenders.
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations to assess the recovery needs and re-offense risk of offenders.
  • Participate in individual treatment plans based on the severity and characteristics of the offender.
  • Provide counseling and recovery skills training, and participate in offender orientation, educational, and individual and process counseling groups.
  • Maintain offender records and compile data for statistical feedback and reports.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent required.
  • Two years of full-time, wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment or education required.
  • Current valid license as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or current valid certification as a Certified Criminal Justice Professional (CCJP) required.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required.
