Position Overview:
The Adult Substance Use Care Management Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of clinical teams to ensure compliance with established care standards and regulatory guidelines.

Core Responsibilities:
- Act as a professional role model, demonstrating exemplary behavior, communication, and skills to effectively meet the needs of stakeholders, members, and their families.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, delivering high-quality services in a culturally competent and cost-effective manner.

- Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and program effectiveness.

Team Development:
- Build and maintain a cohesive team through effective recruitment, training, performance management, and coaching.
- Develop policies and protocols to enhance the functionality of the Clinical Department.
- Conduct clinical quality audits and provide constructive feedback.

Clinical Oversight:
- Ensure that Clinical Care Managers have access to necessary resources to engage with members, families, and providers.
- Participate in community outreach alongside Clinical Care Managers to provide ongoing supervision and feedback.
- Collaborate with staff to offer clinical consultation on complex cases and work with Physician Advisors for high-risk member consultations.

Crisis Management:
- Anticipate and manage crisis situations effectively.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Care Management Coordinators to ensure consistent care management practices.

Quality Assurance:
- Work closely with the Quality Management Department to monitor provider stability and address any concerns promptly.
- Utilize data to inform interventions and ensure that staff are knowledgeable about evidence-based practices.

Operational Protocols:
- Implement protocols for risk assessment and oversee prior authorization processes for various levels of care.
- Set expectations for coordinated care among teams and assist in developing comprehensive care management plans.

Training and Engagement:
- Provide training on clinical care management procedures and engage in initiatives to promote access to behavioral health services.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-graduate experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Proficient in MS Office with strong typing skills.
- Ability to provide clinical supervision for complex cases.

Work Environment:
- Requires travel, including potential overnight stays.
- Ability to use office equipment for daily responsibilities.
