Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Elementary Education Specialist to join our team at Berrien County Schools Consortium. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and contributing to their academic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Articulate a comprehensive plan of instruction for multi-age grouping, incorporating FARE themes and integrating technology throughout the curriculum.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, create classroom procedures, and communicate effectively with parents and administrators.
  • Communication: Evaluate and communicate student progress to parents on a regular basis, communicate volunteer needs, and contribute to Academy newsletters.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to Paraprofessionals, evaluate their performance, and contribute to the leadership of the Staff Cabinet.
  • Total Learning Environment: Carry out policies adopted by the Academy Board, monitor student safety, and ensure the appropriateness of computer use.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, ability to work with urban and rural youth, experience with developing thematic interdisciplinary curricula, and ability to work as a team member.
