Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled RN Nurse Educator to join our team at Corewell Health South – Lakeland Hospitals. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating orientation, in-services, competencies, and continuing education programs within the area of specialization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education and experience in developing and implementing educational programs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the educational needs of patients, families, and healthcare staff and develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs to meet those needs.
- Develop and implement orientation programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Provide ongoing education and training to healthcare staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address those areas.
- Conduct regular evaluations of educational programs to ensure they are meeting their intended outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Education or Adult Education – Preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience in clinical nursing and education – Required
- Education and program development experience – Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Michigan – Required upon hire
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support within 90 Days – Required
- Specialty Certification within 1 year or Board Cert Nursing Professional Development (BC-NPD) – ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center within 1 year
