Role Overview: The Operations Assistant General Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a welcoming, safe, and educational atmosphere within our establishments. This position involves ensuring compliance with all operational standards, supporting team development, and overseeing daily activities to guarantee smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in supervising and directing daily operations and staff.
- Implement best practices and ensure adherence to regulatory processes and internal policies.
- Act as the secondary point-of-contact in the absence of the General Manager.
- Facilitate effective communication among team members and lead pre-shift meetings.
- Support staff management by identifying hiring needs and fostering employee growth.
- Ensure comprehensive training for staff in accordance with company standards.
- Promote a culture of accountability and professionalism within the team.
- Maintain safety and security protocols for both customers and employees.
- Stay informed about cannabis products and regulations to educate staff and customers.
- Assist with Human Resources tasks, including scheduling and performance evaluations.
- Manage financial records and cash handling procedures effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven managerial experience in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in HR-related tasks.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail, hospitality, or healthcare.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cash management systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background checks.
