Job Summary

We are seeking a Peer Counselor to join our Mobile Residential Team. The successful candidate will provide direct services to participants, utilizing their personal experience to inform their approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care services to clients, including teaching skills and delivering concrete services.
  • Document client progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Facilitate support and educational groups for clients.
  • Educate staff on peer perspective, person-centered language, and consumer rights.
  • Assist consumers in identifying their options and participating in goal-setting.
  • Provide rehabilitative support services in daily living skills, health services, and other areas as assigned.
  • Deliver Wellness Self-Management training and assist participants in developing recovery strategies.
  • Participate in program meetings and attend supervision regularly.
  • Accompany consumers to appointments as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and Peer Support Credentials.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Familiarity with benefits and entitlements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and guide others through the self-help process.
  • Experience with travel training, facilitating peer support groups, and assisting with ADL skills.
