Job Overview
Clinica Romero is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Care Specialist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in Pediatrics, you will work with individuals experiencing mental health conditions from underserved communities in the greater Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities
We are looking for a dedicated professional who can conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, review medical history and other related medical records, and order laboratory tests as needed. Additionally, you will prescribe and manage medications, provide psychotherapy and counseling to patients, and monitor patient progress. Your strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Requirements
To be successful in this position, you will need 2+ years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with expertise in mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication, and treatment plans. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred, and pediatric experience is a plus. You must have an unrestricted license and valid DEA number in the state of California, as well as certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) and no suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal healthcare programs are also required. A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited university or graduate program in psychiatric mental health nursing is essential. Finally, you should have passion for patient care and be proficient with technology and EHR systems, Epic preferred.
